THE BEGINNING
A Shared Passion for the Authentic
Olá! We are Alex and Manuela. Like many great adventures, ours began with a shared love for slow travel, authentic places, and the belief that the best way to understand a culture is through its people and their stories.

Alex is Portuguese, a musician, and a history lover with deep family roots in the Algarve. Manuela moved here several years ago from northern Italy; she is a true people person, a community builder, and an organizer at heart.
These days, you will find us constantly on the move across the Algarve, exploring local wine traditions, making genuine connections, and tasting Negra Mole.

THE TURNING POINT
When Negra Mole Crossed Our Path
Over the last few years, as we immersed ourselves in the Algarve’s growing wine revival, one grape kept crossing our path: Negra Mole.

The more we tasted it and the more we spoke with the people growing it, the more passionate we became. We fell in love with its deep cultural legacy, its resilience, and the sheer dedication of the local producers working hard to make it shine again. It felt completely natural for us to join this mission and offer our own hands to help.
OUR MISSION
Celebrating and Sharing Negra Mole
That is exactly how the Negra Mole Experience was born. We wanted to spotlight this unique grape by designing a curated calendar of wine events, where people can simply show up, relax, and enjoy a glass in an informal atmosphere.
For us, this project is about sharing Algarve wine culture through experiences that feel authentic, welcoming, and personal. We are excited to welcome you to our events, and we look forward to tasting, connecting, and exploring Negra Mole together.
